Actuarial Method V.S Statement
Which method suits you?
Employers are required to declare by the last day of the current month whether for the following period they will register changes in employees' working hours & overtime with the the accounting method or the projection method. (Note: In case no action is taken, the pre-declaration method will apply.)
- Actuarial Method
By the end of next month, you will be able to reporting of all changes in working hours, working time organisation and overtime (at the choice and declaration of the employer).
Examples:
In the event that an employee needs to work abnormally a day off/vacation or if you need to work in the afternoon instead of in the morning or if you need to work before the stated hours, then the employer and the accountant do not need to make any declaration & by the end of next month the changes should be made to match the employees' "hits".
Benefits:
- Flexibility: Allows employees to have more flexibility in managing their time and adjust the recording hours according to the needs of the business (temporary employment, shift change, overtime)
- Secures against fines & penalties: Employers can easily check and confirm working hours from Digital Job Card swipes, without the stress of penalties & fines.
2. Event
If you choose the Declaration, the employer is strictly obliged to sets the timetable or changes to it in advance. Therefore, workers must enter after the starting time and for as long as the flexible working hours require, and must leave before the end of their working hours.
Examples:
If an employee come to the workplace half an hour early shall not make an entry unless the accountant so indicates or in the event that an employee has a day off and it is Sunday evening the accountant should indicate the change and then have the employee make an entrance.
Otherwise there will be sanctions.
In summary, employers, in consultation with their accountant, choose the most appropriate method for their business. In any case, in the software Plany we can support both methods.
